High Schools

We provide native food education in high school home economics classrooms all over Queensland. Students gain hands-on experience working with native ingredients, developing their culinary skills while exploring the cultural significance of each ingredient. Classes can be tailored to meet curriculum goals, incorporating foundational cooking techniques and discussions on pathways into the native food industry. We work with schools directly or through our funded partnership with the Gateway to Industry Schools Program.

ReKindle

ReKindle harnesses the power of community, education and meaningful work to transform lives and break the cycle of youth incarceration. We provide young people with real employment opportunities, business understanding and a village of people who are aligned through the goal of support, mentoring and trauma-informed care. At the heart of this program is a shared commitment to walking alongside young people on their journey towards success as they build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

We acknowledge the Turrbul and Jagera Peoples as traditional custodians of this land, we also pay respects to Elders past, present and those emerging who strive to build a better and more sustainable future for generations to come. Who’s ancient knowledge and respect for Country will be the driving force in solving many modern issues we face today.
